The Mission Committee is one of the ways we live out our mission statement of “Hands of Service, Hands of Faith, Open Hands of Love” here at St. Luke. The Mission Committee brings service opportunities to the St. Luke Body of Christ within the church, local, state, national and world communities. Our hands-on work includes serving as the PTA for Mesa Verde Elementary School, preparing dinners for the Hope and Healing Place, and Helping Hands—which coordinates service needs within the church. Other missions supported by St. Luke include the Amarillo Children’s Home, Meals on Wheels, Amarillo College Food Pantry, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, and many others. The Mission Committee provides an opportunity for members of St. Luke to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
