BECOME A MEMBER

How do I become a member at St. Luke?
The Session approves membership and baptisms in our congregation.

Why become a member of St. Luke?
Membership in a Presbyterian congregation allows you to vote in congregational meetings and to serve in elected positions of service,
like standing committees and the Session.  Communion servers have been ordained as elders or deacons, even if they may not be currently serving on Session (all Session members are elders).

What if I don’t want to be an official member?
Many of our “friends of St. Luke” still pledge an estimate of giving,
attend committee meetings, and volunteer to help with worship, fellowship events, educational events, building work days, and more.

How do I connect to groups and activities?

Whether you are new to St. Luke or have been a member or attending for a while,
we welcome you to connect
into our community of faith.
